One of
my most poignant memories is the time I spent on “editor’s
row” at a major writing conference years ago. As many of
the writers filed in and out of their editor and agent appointments,
their tears showed that the meetings hadn’t gone as they’d
hoped.
While
I tried to comfort the most distraught ladies, God spoke gently
to my heart, asking me to become an encourager to them. By the
end of the conference, I had a plan to learn to become an editor,
encourager, and mentor to aspiring authors who wanted to write
the books of their hearts.
I’ve
been critiquing and editing for five years. I’m a published
writer, judge for novel-writing contests and also serve as a personal
mentor. I’m a pastor’s wife and an ordained minister.
These are my credentials, but most important, I’m a Christian
lady who loves words, books, and most of all, the Book.
